"With the City of San Jose's request for commercial, industrial, and institutional properties to terminate watering of ornamental lawns and turf, Santa Teresa Hills Presbyterian Church complied and stopped watering its turf in the summer of 2022. Our turf areas (which were extensive) died and, of course, became unsightly.

At my first meeting on-site with Tim Dooling, I knew I had found someone who was willing to work with me in bringing my landscape designs involving California natives and drought-tolerant plants to fruition. Tim shared his extensive knowledge freely, and was always accessible and responsive via text, phone, and email on a regular basis throughout all aspects of the project.

Tim and his crew were personable and easy to work with; sensitive to church personnel and the nesting preschool on the property, and I appreciated having the opportunity to be involved in every aspect of the transformation process that took less than a month. I can't wait until spring after the landscape has had a chance to establish itself and begin blooming; it will be a sight to behold and my labor of love will have come to fruition!

Tim's estimates and final invoices were also very fair and reasonable. I cannot give enough praise to Tim and his crew and highly recommend Dooling Landscape Service."

Dooling Landscape Customer Ratings

"Tim and his team did an outstanding job on our front yard landscape project and it was truly a pleasure working with them. Tim listened carefully to what we wanted and made some excellent suggestions to improve the design. He was very patient as we selected the plants we wanted to include, and his extensive knowledge of plants and landscape techniques was very helpful. He has a very capable crew and I was favorably impressed by the high quality of the work and their attention to detail. Also, Tim is an excellent communicator and did a great job keeping us updated; we always knew the status of the project and what days and times he and his guys would be at our house. And if he said something would be done, it got done -- great follow through. We couldn't be happier with our new landscaping! To anyone looking for top quality landscaping at a very reasonable price, I would highly recommend Dooling Landscape Service." ~ Dan C., Sunnyvale, CA

"In Feb. 2020, we engaged Tim Dooling to design and landscape the garden patio of our condo at Silver Creek Country Club, and we couldn't be happier with the excellent results.

The garden had been completely filled with tons of river rock that had to be removed and Tim repurposed some of the rock into a very attractive dry waterfall and creek bed feature. Each type of plant was selected to create a pleasing combination of colored foliage and seasonal blooms that will be beautiful all year. Containers were incorporated to add elevation changes to the plantings. A high grade automatic irrigation system makes it very low maintenance, and subtle lighting provides warm illumination after dark.

Working in a condo backyard adds constraints of tight access paths, restricted street parking, and the need to clean up all the pathways every day. The job was completed in 10 days. We are delighted with our beautiful garden and highly recommend Tim and his expert crew for your landscape projects." ~ Linda and John Vincent

This landscaping included the removal of old existing lawn and the installation of new sod with new water efficient sprinklers. The plant selection was done in a way that there will always be something bloom throughout the seasons. A drip system was installed for the new plantings which will use very little water to maintain this beautiful garden. Also the client wanted plants that would give fragrance at their entrance. read client testimonial...

Here are pictures of our project which we recently completed in September 2011. The backyard was made up of concrete stepping stones to create a patio. We removed all the old and broken concrete stepping stones and installed decomposed granite walkway and sitting area. We built the redwood arbor for the entrance into the backyard. we removed old plants, brought in new soil, installed a new irrigation system, installed a fountain, installed landscape lighting and planted new trees and plants to create this very serene setting.
